Communist America!

Don’t let it be my Last Vital Lecture

This one is pretty easy if you grab a cup and sit down quietly for a bit with your pleasant self.

With pencil & paper, make yourself a list from these goals.

  • First, write “green, yellow or red” to show the degree to which you perceive each goal to be in place ie, already accomplished. Right next to it, do the same for how much of a danger each goal is to you and your ideas of “Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Happiness” – not the world, You.
  • Next, for each communist goal, assign a number from 1-10 to describe how Dangerous to the Integrity and Soveriegnty of the Constitution of the United States of America that it is Right Now. “1” is not a regarded influence at all, “10” is so regarded or enforced that you yourself got/are sucked in. (Most danger of all)
  • Lastly, think about each goal and list actions, persons & entities in our country and also the world that are the source of the communist influence and enforcement. Think of people like Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Maxine Waters, John McCain, Paul Ryan, Barry Sotero (for 8 years!), the former Main Stream Media like MSNBC, CNN, NY Times, MedScape, Etc.
  • When you have completed your first rough draft, stop and put your paper down. Go do other things you need to or enjoy, until the next time you have a few moments to come back and review your list. *Be sure to do other things for at least an hour and don’t even think about your list then. You will come back to it.

Here is your list of Goals to Assess:

Communist Goals (1963) Congressional Record–Appendix, pp. A34-A35 January 10, 1963 Current Communist Goals EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES Thursday, January 10, 1963 . Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America. At Mrs. Nordman’s request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following “Current Communist Goals,” which she identifies as an excerpt from “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen: [From “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen

1.  U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2.  U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3.  Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

4.  Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5.  Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

6.  Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

7.  Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

8.  Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

9.  Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

10.  Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

11.  Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces.

12.  Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13.  Do away with all loyalty oaths.

14.  Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

15.  Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

16.  Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17.  Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18.  Gain control of all student newspapers.

19.  Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20.  Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy making positions.

21.  Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

22.  Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”

23.  Control art critics and directors of art museums.

24.  Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

25.  Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26.  Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

27.  Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”

28.  Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”

29.  Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30.  Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”

31.  Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32.  Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture—education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33.  Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34.  Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35.  Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36.  Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37.  Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38.  Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand or treat.

39.  Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40.  Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity, masturbation and easy divorce.

41.  Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42.  Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use “united force” to solve economic, political or social problems.

43.  Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44.  Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45.  Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS CURRENT:
As prescient as Skousen was, he could not have foreseen two whoppers that were added here in the Skousen style:

46. Under the guise of providing free health care for the poor, seize control of the entire national health care apparatus including the health insurance industry.  Under the guise of ‘fairness’, institute price controls and rationing, and control the behavior of all citizens through regulation of their access to health care.

47. Under the guise of protecting the planet and the environment from pollution and “climate change”, establish massive new federal bureaucracies to regulate all industrial and personal activities.  Use these regulations to reward political friends and punish political enemies.

**************************************

The final exercises are simply to try to gain your own perspective on the whole, seemingly interconnected series of entities and events. See the Country & World now and if these concepts are allowed to fully overtake human consciousness and life. Take over the world and the future of it; all of it forever**

Now consider who you see opposing such forces and consider their actions as if they are opposing it and fighting for Free, Constitutional America. Think of President Donald Trump, Sen. Trey Gowdy, Sen. Jeff Chavetz, Sen. Nunnes, Dr. Rand Paul, Judge Napolitano, Bill O’Reilly and alternative news sources like “The Drudge Report” or “Breitbart” etc.

I Hope You found the Exercise Entertaining & Illuminating. The Main Goal was to Remind US All that We hold the rudder on this ship, We, despite all current and external conditions can be Self Determined in how our Soveriegn Nation, Gift of Our Forefathers and Land of the Free navigates toward a Future that Preserves Our History & Traditions, Our Culture and Our Families. Now is the Time to Remind the World and forces within US that it is Still the Home of the Brave and the Superior Society of Men Upon the Earth to be Upheld, Defended and Saved Harmless Now and in Perpetuity for Ourselves and Our Descendancy. Let over 2 Centuries of Liberty become a Millenia. My Family is a Thousand Years Old. From the Crusades past the Revolution in America and Every War Our Country has Endured. We have seen it all before, we can control our course in the cycles of Life on Earth Now. How Old is Your Family? When you think about it, aren’t there a thousand reasons that a thousand things should Never Be Forgotten?

God Bless America, God Bless Americans and Godspeed to President Donald J. Trump and Our Loyal American Congress.

**Existential Catastrophe: events that bring about “utter overthrow or ruin” on a global, rather than a “local or regional” scale. Ex. Islam, Globalism, Events Like Fukushima or larger, Genetic Degradation of Entire Species, Dissapearance of Entire Species or Mass Species Extinction, Pacific Ocean, etc.

1/4 of American Physicians & Nurses are Evil Teletubbies?

The recent beating and dragging of Dr Dao from a United Airlines (no surprise) flight, so that united could put staff in those seats, raised a much more critical alarm than the bludgeoning of poor Dr Dao. It revealed that a horrifying percentage of United States MD’s (and Nurses!) are no longer in any way the “spearhead of humanity”, but rather read like terrifying, angry khafka enforcement zombies. There are a number of very seriously troubling aspects about that.

The very first of course is that these natures are even physicians, except perhaps in some of earths more miserable places? Analyzing these posts not only sickened me for the sheer orwell, it angered me that these people are such mid-witted, self serving and selfish traitors. But it worried me most for the future of the world. Thug culture has spread from the street into business, law and now, God help us, medicine.
You won’t see “all” Drs here; you will see physicians and “care providers” ie, a number of them have taken on the semblance and manner of the “insurance term” that describes them. Not only that, it’s clear that a number are ACA prototypes, ie “even worse”. Why is that alarming? Because that is also how they think about and treat you. That is also the “permission” they give thugs and criminals to treat everybody even worse. To not only erode rights and respect, to destroy morale, sense of security and aesthetic quality of life across the board. The even more laughably tragic is the stupider child, who instead of fearing and loathing what his alleged “colleagues” did to a man on a plane, rather think how “cool” they would look in one of those “THX1138” outfits:

thx 1138 cops3
In America, we are innocent until proven guilty, which is good because it protects us from our own doctors:

Dr. Robert Argo|  Internal Medicine 2 days ago
This seems simple, and I am not swayed by how he was removed from the plane.  He was told to leave, and that is what he was required to do by law, by his agreeing to the rules regarding the purchasing of his ticket.  He didn’t do what he was told, and thus, the way he ended up being removed was his own fault.  If I was on his jury, I would award him nothing, and would make him pay legal fees!”

….That loony, viscious, punishing thing – is some sick American’s “tender mercies”. He has already judged and planned execution and the ONLY thing he actually knows is: somebody disagreed with a petty authority figure, no matter what they demanded, “legal”, rights or not. To physical damage ie “I would award him nothing, and would make him pay legal fees!” in the case of this wretch Argo.

Another perfect horror:

Roberta Green, RN 7 days ago
“It appears the passenger had a drug related seizure and bit his own tongue.  None of the handling by staff would explain the extent of bleeding, especially from the mouth.

The passenger should have been given a drug screen by the EMTs at the scene.  He may have been in withdrawal.”

This would explain his determination to return home, the source of his drugs.”

That horrible stinking beast, ladies and gentlemen, identified itself as an RN. My God!
Not one of her statements is true? But it is clear what her “policies, attitudes and TACTICS” are and they would be the same viscious lies if you crossed her. OR she even imagined you did, eh?

In court and ostensibly, grown up professional land, using unrelated “ad hominem” to the full and vulgar level of the mainstream press, is a sign of (one would think?) at least ignorance, stupidity and indeed real danger….among so-called “medical professionals”. Bad taste and low class come second to fear of “tactics” which, if they will use on Dao, they will use on you without hesitation. Indeed, the situation is such already that any number of patients reading this might say “So they treat everybody that way all over, not just me”

Again, we see how RN Roberta Green repeats & re-inforces her tactis stubbornly, (like a pro) as if it would make any of it true:
“Photos show he was bleeding while still seated. I suspect the passenger had a drug related seizure and banged his head against the window.  Was he determined to return home to his drug supply…”

In America, the courts decide cases and to say or print ad hominem that one can not back up is “libel & slander”….isn’t it? Not for some of these creatures and not for a major news outlet supposedly geared towards medical professionals. (That is another whole Dr Mengele monster house of its own) The blatant efforts of the press to harm this man and his case are typical of that sleaze? But his own colleagues? For apparently little more than personal “virtue signaling” and what often enough appear to be plain jealousy and resentment? 3 out of 4 US medical professionals still appear to have the intelligence, background, maturity, dignity and ethics that our National Historical Standard expects. It is these 1 in 3 complete inversions and “providers” that they must embarassingly, unfairly and insultingly share title with. It is these more system and control freak oriented what? Weaklings? Soft heads? Completely mad and viscious Pre-commies…that should insult and alarm us all. I dread to think what is going on out there in medicine. It has come to be barbaric, brutal, exploitative, ruthless, toxic, utterly self justifying, utterly dehumanizing and conveniently lethal. But, take heart that 3 out of 4 Drs & Nurses still seem to be and to be on your side. I think it’s important to keep coming back to that, lest the infantile wretchedness of the fewer make us think so of the lot.
There is a war and also a crashing down going on in American medicine right now and if one looks a little reflectively, one can see many features of it in the snapshot case of Dr Dao and the snapshot professional ways of some of his colleagues. I honestly lost sight of Dao. It seemed small compared to the starkness of the shrinking medical fraternity and increasing “pod group” behaviors and attitudes among people we have here who daily hold life and death in their hands! Beware America. If medical people are treating you meanly and you think they aren’t supposed to, find somebody else fast. Never give anything to buckled in, cranky safety seat people.
It’s really not funny, but haha and God Bless America and Watch over Worthy Americans. Amen.

The Return to Yourself

(Back to the temple. Enough of worldly affairs and literature for a minute)

I belong to a “holy” “cult”, but if you said that to a chinese or gong fu person, it would perplex them for a second and they would probably say “Yes? But not in the way you understand?” Our lives, so much luckier the younger we get in, are contemplative rather than “devotional” and we are devoted to what is manifest, real, tangible. At least for this brief time. To preach christ risen doesn’t offend us at all. Because it does not conflict with or have much to do with our “religion”….there’s that word of numerous meanings again. Any gong fu person might say it’s not their religion, but, really it is or “also is”. They are kinda helpless to that. Thank the good God we are not forced to choose “one or the other” and thank God they in so many ways are the same. The dumbest one we have is still a good “priest” though we most often use the more honest title of monk. (unless more than you are used to seeing of us is required? In those cases, it is likely you that would use that term?) You may not want the life or the labor, but that intervention sure comes in handy every now & then. We don’t know? We were walking down the road and a curious thing came in our eyes? If we can, typically, we respond? Not always. A monk will only respond in the scope of his present skills and in some things, the USA is “all or nothing”.
For example, in Arkansas one might be and respond as any other doctor. Same really in New Mexico? But contrast that with extreme Kansas, where even the “laying on of hands” is legally defined as “the hands not moving”. Take a moment for a laugh there. (Like poor Colorado. Always claiming “utopia!”, yet more and more filled with the demons and hells these utopias are always full of. Funny, but still tragic.)
Temple blessed temple. Refuge of human mind and flesh. The place where the “rising ape” is left aside to be more like the “falling angel”, that meets the rising ape on the strange and curious path of life in any given day. Here, the stone idols are but decorations. Here, the God moves in and vivifies living flesh. Here, spirits move in flesh and move flesh around in a dance of divine glory. Is it like this? In the festering babylons of modern man, dying daily with fool’s grin and party hat? Never. All that is the person is more and more suffocated, like Einsteins “Holy flower of inquiry”. Boys that would rise like the men they have heard of, are instead crumpled down with lowered eyes – “say your prayers chimp! Good monkey.” (The ancient slaver cults of the mideast seem always the loudest)
Eventually, the surviving worthy will have had enough? Before long, “the human spirit will out” – or at least any still intact American would pray more than ever that it come to be so.
In any case – church, school (private!) or temple, time to seek those things that are truly edifying to you. Time to wander down your “walking question mark”, intact, hidden seed path, perchance to find your temple of “more” and common, easy companions after the calling you all hear and have. To move together yet separate, one not the same, in your orchestral section of the music of the spheres. It’s not a symphony to just be enjoyed. It’s a beckoning acceptance to a living part in all that is. Spiritas pro spiritu, “lux in homine factum”. No one could ever really lie about that.

“Be careful; Strive to be happy” ~ Desiderata

*Desiderata = “Desirable things”, “Things to possess for the good of one’s own”, “Things to be desired”

Sursum corda!

Lyrics
That’s not the beginning of the end
That’s the return to yourself
The return to innocence.
Love
Devotion
Feeling
Emotion
Don’t be afraid to be weak
Don’t be too proud to be strong
Just look into your heart my friend
That will be the return to yourself
The return to innocence.
If you want, then start to laugh
If you must, then start to cry
Be yourself don’t hide
Just believe in destiny.
Don’t care what people say
Just follow your own way
Don’t give up and use the chance
To return to innocence.
That’s not the beginning of the end
That’s the return to yourself
The return to innocence.
Don’t care what people say
Follow just your own way
Follow just your own way
Don’t give up, don’t give up
To return, to return to innocence.
If you want then laugh
If you must then cry
Be yourself don’t hide
Just believe in destiny.

2 Kinds of Reverence

Ancient & Effervescent.

Both are vital or life doesn’t last very long and isn’t worth living while it does. Ancient Reverence never changes. It was there at the first sunrise, giving Glory and Thanks to the Ancient of Days. It’s great power of steadfastness is also its potential weakness. Like a statue, it’s position is immovable. Effervescent Reverence can change every day, be completely unabashedly spontaneous, an expression at the edge of the next moment, because that is a most important vital truth too.

Consider the flowers of the field, such a miraculous gift to man. Ancient Reverence always plants in the correct seasonal time, catering to the flower and adept at all those things which please it, urging it to thrive by serving it according to its nature. Because of steadfast consistency, loyalty and the virtues, many wonders and feats are achieved and even the weaker of the flowers come to their own fruition. This is a proof of the love of God. (The flower is taken as the proof of the love of God towards his creatures.)
The Effervescent Reverence knows little ancient wisdom, remembers few songs, traditions or laws. It bursts forth daily immersed in the identity of that very time and moment. Broadcasting seeds of it’s wonder and joy wildly, like spores to all points of the compass, by wind, water and wayfarer. It is history in the making, a cataclysm that Ancient Reverence will, one far future day, preserve and keep also. When it’s glory has become a scroll, a testament too precious to lose. Effervescent Reverence spreads seeds wildly, everywhere, with full faith that good will come. That whatever comes is proof of the blessing of God. It is proof of the divine will, reflected through it’s mortal creatures. All heaven is laughter and spirits “on the go”, except for the all pervading presence of God.
These are identical to the faiths in the contemplative, not one or the other, but both in one body, harmoniously working together for that complete reverence which so satisfies the soul. Oh what true dread is the thought of being stuck in one, blind to the other. Half empowered, half complete. Half hungry and mad all the time. Furiously burning on one necessary expression, without the all saving other, that makes us both human and divine, both truths denying the fixation of the other.

All nature is put together this way. The fool and the hermit are both the practical knowlege of the magician. Hierophant is an office. Bah! That has nothing to do with pure Enkidu. It is odious to honest Gilgamesh. These two friends are the servants of God. Ancient Reverance and Effervescent Reverence. Both declarations in manifest action that “God is true”.

The Ancient renews itself via Effervescense and the Effervescent maintains itself via the Ancient. They do not merely affirm, they also require each other. The power of life and the power of renewal are the gods these two great faiths follow, serve, sense to be true or perhaps think “worthy to be true”. The thousand year old family banner has an heir standing beneath it, bearing the Ancient and once again all Effervescent. Another renewal who would not suffer history at all, if it were not so important to navigating the ever oncoming future.

images (37)

“The old wizard Hasish had a sore on his toe and
Though they all knew it, not one priest would go.
So the people went in and saved all the day,
Because life without hashish is all priests, too gay.”

Only at the end of a great age, the finality of an era, do ancient and effervescent unite finally; every awareness amassing all it’s atoms to burn brightly out the glorious spelling of it’s own name. What, who and all it was, like a white hot beacon, in the face of it’s being no more and still more. Shedding the cloak of vaguery for the absolute being it has forged or abandoning what it forged to become it’s absolute again. Maybe neither, shining anyway. If humble in the presence of God, not at all so on the journey toward. The soul is a place where being a leaf on a breeze and an olympic salmon swimmer is not the least bit strange nor in any way awkward, but rather the most graceful of self creating choreographies. It still touches the plane of absolutes and was made to dwell in the vaguery of manifestation, even if temporarily. It is capable of dwelling immunely in any expression of life. It bears witness to the fate of the life it became, perhaps with infinite compassion. Perhaps with complete indifference. Perhaps in a place where both at once is not strange at all. A place that knows there is some sort of necessary separation, a required other side of the rainbow. Some ancients saw the rainbow as a bridge to heaven for souls, that even mortals occaisionally crossed, which appeared after the renewing rains. On the other side of the bridge, the view is different.

Ancient faith and renewing faith, faith in forever things and faith in stability amidst constant, violent change are necessary tools man made first to cope with evolution, later to cope with the rises and falls of the babylons he created. Now, to bear witness to more than man has ever witnessed, with more eyes than have ever been on earth altogether. The flesh beckons the spirit automatically in such times. The spirit comes to the aid of the flesh because that is what is required and there is nothing else for it. Ancient spirit immovable, Effervescent spirit looking looking and a business of busy all over the place. You can see how both are required. Will be required more as the external falls away.

“Unde mors? Unde vita?”

A Break from all the “What?” for an homage to some of the great reasons “Why” ~ starting off with a delightful refresher of our Lewis Carroll
(from Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, 1872)

The Walrus and The Carpenter

The sun was shining on the sea,
Shining with all his might:
He did his very best to make
The billows smooth and bright–
And this was odd, because it was
The middle of the night.

The moon was shining sulkily,
Because she thought the sun
Had got no business to be there
After the day was done–
“It’s very rude of him,” she said,
“To come and spoil the fun!”

The sea was wet as wet could be,
The sands were dry as dry.
You could not see a cloud, because
No cloud was in the sky:
No birds were flying overhead–
There were no birds to fly.

The Walrus and the Carpenter
Were walking close at hand;
They wept like anything to see
Such quantities of sand:
“If this were only cleared away,”
They said, “it would be grand!”

“If seven maids with seven mops
Swept it for half a year.
Do you suppose,” the Walrus said,
“That they could get it clear?”
“I doubt it,” said the Carpenter,
And shed a bitter tear.

“O Oysters, come and walk with us!”
The Walrus did beseech.
“A pleasant walk, a pleasant talk,
Along the briny beach:
We cannot do with more than four,
To give a hand to each.”

The eldest Oyster looked at him,
But never a word he said:
The eldest Oyster winked his eye,
And shook his heavy head–
Meaning to say he did not choose
To leave the oyster-bed.

But four young Oysters hurried up,
All eager for the treat:
Their coats were brushed, their faces washed,
Their shoes were clean and neat–
And this was odd, because, you know,
They hadn’t any feet.

Four other Oysters followed them,
And yet another four;
And thick and fast they came at last,
And more, and more, and more–
All hopping through the frothy waves,
And scrambling to the shore.

The Walrus and the Carpenter
Walked on a mile or so,
And then they rested on a rock
Conveniently low:
And all the little Oysters stood
And waited in a row.

“The time has come,” the Walrus said,
“To talk of many things:
Of shoes–and ships–and sealing-wax–
Of cabbages–and kings–
And why the sea is boiling hot–
And whether pigs have wings.”

“But wait a bit,” the Oysters cried,
“Before we have our chat;
For some of us are out of breath,
And all of us are fat!”
“No hurry!” said the Carpenter.
They thanked him much for that.

“A loaf of bread,” the Walrus said,
“Is what we chiefly need:
Pepper and vinegar besides
Are very good indeed–
Now if you’re ready, Oysters dear,
We can begin to feed.”

“But not on us!” the Oysters cried,
Turning a little blue.
“After such kindness, that would be
A dismal thing to do!”
“The night is fine,” the Walrus said.
“Do you admire the view?

“It was so kind of you to come!
And you are very nice!”
The Carpenter said nothing but
“Cut us another slice:
I wish you were not quite so deaf–
I’ve had to ask you twice!”

“It seems a shame,” the Walrus said,
“To play them such a trick,
After we’ve brought them out so far,
And made them trot so quick!”
The Carpenter said nothing but
“The butter’s spread too thick!”

“I weep for you,” the Walrus said:
“I deeply sympathize.”
With sobs and tears he sorted out
Those of the largest size,
Holding his pocket-handkerchief
Before his streaming eyes.

“O Oysters,” said the Carpenter,
“You’ve had a pleasant run!
Shall we be trotting home again?’
But answer came there none–
And this was scarcely odd, because
They’d eaten every one.

Now a lament (or hymn?) A call to life over circumstance?

The Straw Men – TS Eliot

Mistah Kurtz—he dead.

A penny for the Old Guy

I
We are the hollow men
We are the stuffed men
Leaning together
Headpiece filled with straw. Alas!
Our dried voices, when
We whisper together
Are quiet and meaningless
As wind in dry grass
Or rats’ feet over broken glass
In our dry cellar

Shape without form, shade without colour,
Paralysed force, gesture without motion;

Those who have crossed
With direct eyes, to death’s other Kingdom
Remember us—if at all—not as lost
Violent souls, but only
As the hollow men
The stuffed men.

II
Eyes I dare not meet in dreams
In death’s dream kingdom
These do not appear:
There, the eyes are
Sunlight on a broken column
There, is a tree swinging
And voices are
In the wind’s singing
More distant and more solemn
Than a fading star.

Let me be no nearer
In death’s dream kingdom
Let me also wear
Such deliberate disguises
Rat’s coat, crowskin, crossed staves
In a field
Behaving as the wind behaves
No nearer—

Not that final meeting
In the twilight kingdom

III
This is the dead land
This is cactus land
Here the stone images
Are raised, here they receive
The supplication of a dead man’s hand
Under the twinkle of a fading star.

Is it like this
In death’s other kingdom
Waking alone
At the hour when we are
Trembling with tenderness
Lips that would kiss
Form prayers to broken stone.

IV
The eyes are not here
There are no eyes here
In this valley of dying stars
In this hollow valley
This broken jaw of our lost kingdoms

In this last of meeting places
We grope together
And avoid speech
Gathered on this beach of the tumid river

Sightless, unless
The eyes reappear
As the perpetual star
Multifoliate rose
Of death’s twilight kingdom
The hope only
Of empty men.

V
Here we go round the prickly pear
Prickly pear prickly pear
Here we go round the prickly pear
At five o’clock in the morning.

Between the idea
And the reality
Between the motion
And the act
Falls the Shadow
For Thine is the Kingdom

Between the conception
And the creation
Between the emotion
And the response
Falls the Shadow
Life is very long

Between the desire
And the spasm
Between the potency
And the existence
Between the essence
And the descent
Falls the Shadow
For Thine is the Kingdom

For Thine is

This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper.

A dash of Walt Whitman as a restorative ~ from “I sing the Body Electric!” (which used to be my anthem…)

“I sing the body electric,
The armies of those I love engirth me and I engirth them,
They will not let me off till I go with them, respond to them,
And discorrupt them, and charge them full with the charge of the soul.”

Inspiration to our Spring day from Emily Dickinson ~

I taste a liquor never brewed –
From Tankards scooped in Pearl –
Not all the Frankfort Berries
Yield such an Alcohol!

Inebriate of air – am I –
And Debauchee of Dew –
Reeling – thro’ endless summer days –
From inns of molten Blue –

When “Landlords” turn the drunken Bee
Out of the Foxglove’s door –
When Butterflies – renounce their “drams” –
I shall but drink the more!

Till Seraphs swing their snowy Hats –
And Saints – to windows run –
To see the little Tippler
From Manzanilla come!

Now that we are inspired, some direction from Robert Frost ~

The Road Less Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I —
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

and reminded, bolstered by such august companions, We are well shored up and looking towards a pleasant day!

“I See Fire”

How can we not? Is it the birth pains of a new, tv utopia world? Utopias are never real and socialists always fail? The very wealthy get wealthier and the downstream inherits the whirlwind. In fact, several socialist countries are failing in a domino effect now that will have europeans coming here? It rather undeniably looks like things that preceded the last depression and world war, except all at once and with unprecedented conditions. (No one rushes out to say it isn’t so.)

The Communist Goals for America – It is everywhere and already worse than you might imagine: http://neprimer.com/1963ComGoals.htm

The more social diversions get juicier and ridiculous political topics are pushed as “all important!”, the more I notice the biological world falling out from under us and lethal conditions rise around the globe. The more I see that indeed, ALL politicians only seem interested in grabbing cash, as if they will never face scrutiny, the more I think maybe they never will? They seem to be fully cognizant of and acting on, what they seem to be doing their best to keep from the public. Not only “It’s all OK.” Public Announcements with “oh no! Stay indoors!” Emails to associates, they exhibit grab-n-dash behaviors and blatantly pile on the social burden as if…..as if it’s not going to matter anyway? At least to them, for some reason.

The more I see, the more apprehensive I am about conditions in the United States over the next 10 years. What a great “distraction” food shortages and disease outbreaks will be. Later this year….and continuing for the forseeable future. The fact that the pacific ocean has already died and all it’s creatures are going extinct, is less important than the idiotic babblings of Maxine Waters, senator of the State with highest aids and child cancer, deeply concerned about illegals and white male privelege. (Nobody can actually be that stupid. Close, but not that despicably stupid, just despicable.) More and more people avoiding west coast foods and especially fish, is less important than bizzarre bathroom causes. In the end, the reality that all of California, Florida and New York are not going to get insurance settlements from anybody as a result of contamination will be the same. That’s already pretty clear. It is how the powers will drive the sinking boats of these States down, that remains a curiosity. Likewise, Arkansas, New Mexico and 3 other States will simply crash out economically. Probably shortly after millions of invaders from the mega cities flood, infect, contaminate and overwhelm them. Next year. Louisiana and Mississippi are already under duress.

1966 plan for crashing a country. Welfare kills:

The immediate need for re-establishing true living abilities, home made living and real viability, kind of makes whatever jerry brown and the land of anarchy or la raza are doing seem miniscule. Because comparitively, they are. The ability to feed your people and keep them free from infectious disease, the first steps of having a people at all, are Americans real first priority, right now. World conditions deterorate continuously and will not get better, will not see a “recovery”. Because it’s mathematically, scientifically impossible. The UN will not invade America to “save” it, they will try to invade it to save their own naturally doomed selves. We will see conflicts and extended wars as countries who were living by a false thread or weren’t much living at all fight to survive in circumstances where many won’t. We will see whole industries collapse as the ability to sell poisonous food drops off to no food to sell. Trillions of dollars have gone into propping up, what could never stand, for as long as possible, resulting in magnifying those same problems to a much worse end result. Except for them of course.

Meanwhile, the Klamath lake, symbol of bio health and holiness, empties into the pacific via the Klamath river. Salmon go up the Klamath river in their famous spawning runs – except the salmon have collapsed and the runs are now a thing of history: http://enenews.com/most-catastrophic-fisheries-collapse-in-history-expected-along-west-coast-official-this-is-a-nightmare-i-have-never-in-my-life-dreamed-that-it-could-get-this-bad-threat-o

Right now, our country is enduring, by degree and location, these burdens:

Radiation from mining and plant failures
– Fukushima, WIPP, Porter Ranch (making, storing and mining)
Evolving Pervasive Pathogens
– Tsunami bacteria, antibiotic failure, irradiated virus, transplanting of infected foriegn populations (alleged “refugees”and illegals)
Chemical Poisoning
– gmo, aerosol spraying, drugs & vaccines

Considering all the above, even at the most minimal levels, compare that to 50 years ago when such things were unheard of outside area 51.
When you realize every pathogen is a commercial opportunity, you see an industry ready to profit and conveniently benefitting from a helpless population, no matter what the outcome for that population is.

Know what this is? /pending/ That is the flag that lets you know a 35 year medical veteran and professor of Advanced Medicine is being “censored” in specifically medical conversations with other doctors. An environment where frank discussion at the top of the professional level is kept there, is normal. To manually silence physicians and scientists from pointing out the obvious, because it detracts from the industrial narrative is not normal. How many senior physicians and scientists are being “pending” besides infectious diseases? Besides ethics and exploitative social policies or vaccine safety? Because they are certainly being censored in all of those. The recent “opium epidemic!” is just setting up major cash flows around opium and addiction. More “necroconomy” requiring more bodies processed to get paid. (Necroconomy is human body based industry, private prisons, camps, homes, crime and drug profits, general “body handling” wherein the body is of the least concern.)

Today’s diet is not about great strength, weight control, taste or vanities. It is literally about defensive eating and living under an increasing cloud of poisons heading for critical. Here, man and beast alike consume 15 things / per day, to fend off the effects of abundant bacteria, agricultural poisons and radiation. Already.
Greater dietary independence and health keeps help from being worse on top of bad. The best position to be in is not to need help at all and to be an asset to those around you. Foods, health, basics of survival will all increase in demand. Better if possible to be a supplier of even one high demand commodity.

You are on your side, there is really no side to join. Arabia, Donald Trump, Richard Branson, UNICEF, none of these are going to show up at your door, glad you are an American, with all your answers. Few of us have a million dollars to throw at arc efforts which would include us either. If we are fortunate to find and buy into such a tribe, we should. Better to sit bored in the bushes smoking than to starve infected in the street, like people who currently make 600k a year are worried about doing. Next year. But with certainty, you are your friend and moving towards a better place to be tmorrow is a very good idea now.

Jerry Gettle has hundreds of beans and hundreds of other heirloom seeds in their impressively huge collection:  http://www.rareseeds.com

Whether we expect to be nomadic or stuck where we are, we need to prepare and adapt accordingly. It is better to be up one day before a depression that didn’t happen, than to wake up to one you thought was abated. If you can, just plan to hide for awhile. Blessed are those who’s needs are met at home, on a forgotten road. Yet everybody can respond, perchance to make that one thing or our handful of skills that make all the difference.

Things that will not happen or will not happen like people imagine:
“It’s America? People will pass out rations and stuff?”

“People will rally to help each other. It’s America?”

“The military will know what to do.”

“The government has to help us.”

In the last depression, the majority were on farms or one step from them. All had numerous living skills and recalled “real” life as primitive and modern living as “made up” for convenience and “labor saving”. Farms were numerous and were even forbidden to grow food, there was still so much. Black people hated communists and a “democrat” was a white farmer or factory line worker.
In this depression, the vast majority are utterly dependent on modern living and conveniences have become their complete reality. They have zero actual living skills and no reverence for or knowledge of their environment. Like islam and feckless countries, they can only be locusts. A democrat is a communist, socialist or other enemy of American society or is an icon of fringe groups that demand prominence.

Those differences boil down to people who could remember how to live and struggled vs people with no idea how to live at all, should the card and corner store go off. The damage to the environment these people will do in their 11th hour efforts is unprecedented in it’s scope. Will millions who can only ravage and still not make it, be let loose all over every part of the country? From every direction, yes. They will be allowed to mindlessly, pointlessly destroy what is left for everyone. It will be up to individual States how to respond and all States can expect a great deal of pressure to make self defeating decisions in a difficult time. The more you and your family/neighbors can prepare to feed and provide health items for yourselves, the more you are insulating yourself from truly terrible conditions.

New Mexico is home to multiple nutrition and health projects, among them is a huge (several football fields?) Native marijuana project:

ACOMA PUEBLO, N.M. (KRQE) – Crews are expected to start work on a greenhouse the size of 100 football fields, about an hour west of Albuquerque.

Inside, workers will grow 40 million medicinal plants a year, including marijuana.

The massive greenhouse on the Acoma Pueblo will be used for research and in turn, bring hundreds of jobs to the state.

A state of the art, greenhouse facility to grow medical marijuana will soon find a home on the Acoma Pueblo.”

But really, you’re going to have to grow a lot more than marijuana to live and to avoid the misery of lack or critical malnutrition. So will the Acoma pueblo when the bottom falls out of the pot business. Starvation and devastating malnutrition has happened before in our country. The signs of it are still visible today. Hope you do well in the days to come & Best wishes in preparing and taking satisfaction in your preparations, like people used to. Like they are again already.

The War on Drugs & Drugs in War.

(Vital Nutrition against Critical Malnutrition & Plants against Poisons)

The government’s recent political and especially economic wars have translated into some cockeyed effects on the people. As usual, they have assigned blames and commanded stricter restrictions. 100’s of millions in cartel profits translates into “guidelines say only 70 year olds with cancer can have a vicodan. One.” Adding insult to injury and injury as well in many cases.
That most people anticipate food and medical shortages in the near future, foisting a drug war on citizens seems all the more myopic and obtuse? Weaken your friends and increase their dependence on everybodys enemies?? How can anyone hope to do well less prepared and “dumber” than one’s enemies? Even if there were superior commercial options (largely, not) there sure wouldn’t be enough of any one thing to go around. It takes more than potatos and tomatoes to maintain the whole human and make the world go ’round. Fads & fanaticism are transient diversions and are too often exhausting.
Meanwhile, the professionals involved, the cartel, grows in numbers, territory, wealth, arms and influence. The drug gangs effectively run mexico and there has never been more imported cocaine and heroin. Tightening prescription guides, harassing patients, “pain management”, cranking down on already cranked down guides and all testing and trials have not slowed the illicit or imported flow down one bit. To what degree it may have even contributed? Who can say? (I should hope they wouldn’t) The only priority, all other external concerns aside, is that American citizens are robust and produce in adequate amounts their selves what may be unaffordable or even at times unobtainable. That is a priority that makes sense, can be achieved and matters at home. Home matters more than the world and it is time to make them and ourselves shine again. Time to take pride in our food acumen and make an art of robustly healthy dishes and home processed food and health items. Time to take greater possession of our own food choices and be extremely selective about where our foods come from.
People need Opium.
People knew this for 12,000 years and thought having it was evidence of a better life and higher civilization. Look at their pillar tops.
100 years ago, for some reason likely financial, someone thought making one kid the “hall monitor” to sign for others sounded like a good idea, but it hasn’t seemed to change the human being much and if anything, has broadly commercialized and industrialized what was dominated by small farmers and merchants.
The government’s current approach burdens the citizen too much, while the worst of gangs and foriegn drug cartels thrive and further encroach.

Without Opium, Kratom, Marijuana and Organic source commodities
– Autoimmune people take more life shortening damage and worse chemical drugs, if they are allowed to have them. Potentially lethal “dmrd” drugs are all but forced. The patient is often not allowed to choose.
– injury people take more physical damage and endure poorer health and quality of life.
– People take worse and more severe drugs, when a much milder thing they were actually made of would do better.
– People’s central nervous system and muscles as well as organs are left more vulnerable to the ravages of toxins and war.
– People’s digestive system, most often the origin site of disases, is left more vulnerable to morbid stress, damage and the ravages of war

In fact, historically, wars consume much more drugs and alcohol of all kinds than peace? Especially hashish, opium/opiates and stimulants. The lower percentage of people who are overly self defeating aside, people who have war drugs in war* do better, rest better, eat better, are able to adapt better and are apt to suffer less infectious disease and be less vulnerable to them.
*I exclude stimulants from our list of comforts and remedies, we are mere mortals. The colonel would disagree and be largely interested in what enhancement performance enhancers have gained since last time. The DuPont-grizzly-bear-ninja is a reality and these days, quite an art.

So we arrive then full circle, back at the place we began. Acquiring our own oregano, garlic, peppers and pot or suffering the lacks and let downs we always risk when we put our health, food, drink and education in the hands of others.
When there are less than 3 billion people, our supplies are overflowing, of course we are less wary of civic benefits and public good “bonus features”. It’s a sign of prosperity when the regular families just get that extra boost, thanks of a greatful nation.
But when there are over 8 billion people, half of which are dependents, it is better to make one’s own biscuit and brew one’s own rootbeer. When storms can be severe for whatever reason and wipe out whole crops, its better if not all the crops were being grown in that region. People who grew onions this year won’t be much affected by the onion shortage. Onion is a very important staple. So are peppers, oregano, sage and many other shelf items of the happy healthier home that we could and should be making.
Eating during plague and war is a thanksgiving of overly spiced “tonic” dishes and bolstering snacks & beverages. It is a hearty time. A wholesome time when you are what you eat is a celebration. Get ready for the party now and have one this Spring anyway. Plant and grow 3 or 4 spices and at least 3 or 4 foods now. Today I am doing sugar beets. They’re delicious, healthful and as the name implies, can be easily cooked down into beet sugar. In pioneer days in America, beet sugar was easier to get than cane sugar and white sugar was a Christmas luxury. Now the common white sugar, worst of all, dominates all other sugars except corn sugar, that is in most packaged food products.
Like making and wrapping beef jerky for storing, there is a satisfaction in processing ones own produce for ones own table. Producing and braiding up that garlic, growing and hanging the oregano are physical reassurances one gives one’s self against the anxieties of encroaching disease & pestilance. The practical knowledge of strength one has in one’s hands. Always good. Old ways are still solid ways and old things often enough seem better.
Beyond gmo, as they see the results of these genetically modified crops, people have been seeking Right Research & Development of species. It has been there all along and while gmo was limited, their methods are usuable by all and enjoying their rightful re-emergence as the superior scientific and natural method.

The Potato Woman of New Mexico
Selecting a potato of superior nutritional quality, but lacking commercial appeal Stephanie Walker cultivated the papacriolla and is bringing forth a superior agrcultural crop that has commercial appeal.
“Stephanie Walker, New Mexico State University Extension vegetable specialist and researcher, displays one of the papa criolla type potato plants during harvest of a trial plot in Los Lunas on June 30. NMSU and the University of Florida are collaborating with U.S. Department of Agriculture breeding project that is developing the nutritious South American potato to be raised in the United States.”

The European Species Development project
Due to declined levels of nutrient and alkaloid contents of european cultivars*, efforts to selectively cultivate superior adaptive versions of crucial species.
The european papaver has been selectively developed to return to standardized levels in industry. 24% had fallen over decades to 12-14% levels, half the common industry standard. Concientious horticulture brought forth an adaptive strain first appearing at 27%, more than the most recent commercial standard. Later, this strain jumped to 34% and is currently being studied by numerous plant and drug specialists.

*Europe has been gardening since before they painted it on cave walls. Compared to America’s 300 years.

The radical Greenhousing and Chicken cooping of America has already begun. Jump in now and practice with pleasure. Discover your talents and cater to your tastes. Economizing is not buying what people make at home. Greenhouse suppliers like FarmTek are HUGE now, but as always, even the poorest of us can find ways and means. The catalogues are a luxury of speed only some of us can afford. All of us can still grow. Niche & Specialty crops are in demand and more recently, the demand for garlic that comes from Western gardens. China has been the number #1 exporter of garlic, but culinary interest has shifted to explore varieties at home.
Imagine something good to eat and grow it. Look at things you don’t want to lack and grow them. Enjoy!
Bon apetit’!

PS – Bit of history from the last prohibition. Oh no, not again…

An Opium Eaters Soliloquy

I’d been cheered up, at my chandoo-shop, for years at least two-score,
To perform my daily labour, and was never sick or sore,
But they said this must not be;
So they’ve passed a stern decree,
And they’ve made my chandoo-seller shut his hospitable door.

If I’d only cultivated, now, a taste for beer and gin,
Or had learnt at pool or baccarat my neighbour’s coin to win,
I could roam abroad o’ nights,
And indulge in these delights,
And my soul would not be stigmatized, as being steeped in sin.

But mine’s a heathen weakness for a creature-comfort far
Less pernicious than their alcohol, more clean than their cigar,
They have sent their howlings forth
From their platform in the North,
And ‘twixt me and my poor pleasure have opposed a righteous bar.

Depression & the Victory Garden

Economics has become the driving force of our country and the way it is looking, the road ahead could be challenging for awhile to say the least. We have been through hard times before and one of American’s great strengths was their own garden. While today we have more people who have never gardened, we have supplies and seeds like never before and many people already grow one or more species just for enjoyment. I think the most important occupation for most Americans right now is their greenhousing and gardening.

Herbariums and crucial medical cropping can not be overlooked. Nutrtion and protection from elements, creatures often microscopic and infectious disease are vital to preventing critical malnutrition and the other long term and permanent ravages of depression. The dna burn of the last depression is still visible today in places hardest hit. Now, plants like spinach are a valuable, needed medicine and you will need to make some vinegar for it too. This used to be common even in my lifetime. Spinach in the garden and a crock of vinegar in the basement. Start out with something you think is good or might be for motivation. Delight and intrigue are great learning motives. Pick something that has a high nutrition, medical, utility or enjoyment value so that you can tangibly benefit from and appreciate right now your journey back to grandmother’s garden. She was trickier than you think and adept at making something out of nothing. Grandfather’s shed had a number of things that are simpler than people think and partly your own flair. Hopefully you’ve already been at it. If not its a good time to start. One thing people should consider first is that if everybody grows potatos, that’s all there is to eat. Get to know others and plant/seed/start trading clubs and local garden/herb associations. You can very nearly pick anything and you will have a growing market for it, pun and all. The internet provides more distance contact and trade by more people than ever before, but look at the local supply and be in the know of what is around if trade slows down. Or we can only afford a few things. Start your seed bank with a little bit of a lot of things and be sure to get sage, mints, greek oregano, chili peppers and all the easy spices that are a larger and more healthy part of our intake which we take for granted. Generally speaking, the more spices in the dish the healthier it is. Herb spices and peppers are among the easiest and more delightful crops that grow well in pots. Flourescent grow lights and the new led efficiency lights are two cooler, lower energy alternative to the great sun bulbs you might use on larger plants or areas. Every low temp, lower energy light you can use is a plus in most home horticulture.

Learn about composting and liquid plant foods and powders. Practice every type and phase of gardening now so you can easily adapt what and how your garden grows. A good first crop might be onions, garlic, horseradish, tomatos, jalapeno peppers, cayenne peppers and chilis. Cilantro herb as well. That provides the basis of a great salsa that is very healthy. If you can take lots of horseradish and hot pepper, it’s a quality anti bacterial and anti parasite salsa as well. Onions, potatos, carrots and corn are a home made beef stew crop and if we think about complete circles, we can identify easier ways even we can capitalize on our extra space and time. Here @BorderBotanicals a flower pot or tub is stuck in most open places and we’re looking for a larger place. Spring has sprung and it’s already hot here in South New Mexico, where we are always growing something good every month of the year. Learn to grow something good to you every month of the year and enjoy life more abundantly!

The Way of The West

The dissemination of gong fu from China into the world was not a singular event, tho it had quantum periods when many or even nearly all shao lin or other monks fled the country.

It is those who made their way to the Western continent that I am focusing on, tho there is a history in most places. Those monks who left during two of the later great suppressions, including the Boxer Rebellion and found refuge here, when there were other than natives present. Few people knew of aisian martial arts at all in the west and the explosion of interest in the late sixties and early seventies in America was the result of a few people who had their “15 minutes” at just the right time. The hippie interest in all things contemplative and mystical helped foster the awareness later of all things aisian and pugilistic. A mysticism of a religion attached to direct physical action couldn’t have more American appeal. Time and tide the tsunammi, as Americans sought a sense of authenticity then, after the stellar and disorienting years that pretty much ended with the “Summer of love”. Cosmic living had begun to lose its luster and a more down to earth grasping for the less wordly, more authentic self and identity was what the people were most hungry for. To identify, culture and propagate all things human that made us American. A quiet golden period when the American statement was the comfort of the clay of each others feet, more than the starryness of everybodys mind.

But this new exercise in the rightness of life came with its own clothes, traditions, ethics and social code which would also be reinterpreted in time and culture. A half a century later, we look back and see that nature took its course in manifold ways. Like the East, we have both temples and pai houses, examples of each end of nearly every scale and a present, if completely informal hierarchy. If all persons “of kung fu” were called in America, it would be a multitude as astonished with itself as the world would be with its size and span, from one end of the continent to the other.

David Carradine in his book “Spirit of Shaolin” defines gong fu as:

“Kung fu is an ancient fitness program through which humankind realizes its full potential through better understanding, learning to set higher limits and standards, transcending rigid and false values and achieving harmony with the laws of nature and the universe. Kung fu is training with a useful purpose, and leads to the learning of refined skills, which will remain with the student for a lifetime, and, perhaps, even longer.” and “The drills of Shaolin kung fu serve to put us in touch mentally with our physical selves, so that we no longer remain strangers to our own bodies”

download (18)

Unable to interpret gong fu in its original place and time, the West was forced to interpret it and give it relevance in our society and world. The steps of all those people were the raw forging, the wild stewardship and evolution of that emergence, that tangible body we now call Western because by law, we have all been violently dissociated from Hunan. The eastern temple accredited with our origens is in one of its periods where it neither receives nor rejects it’s orphans – it forcibly denies them. (Larger thought might see that in this lies a great truth affirmed and a natural course of good seeds which took root and multiplied hundreds of fold.)

The half million dollar monastery will still take another half million to prepare and maintain, but it’s quite a bargain comparatively and even more evidence that the Western tradition is housed in its monks and stylists and documented, preserved, honored in its monastery. From that point Western gong fu itself will take care of its temporal home and be a resource to its members.

The Western Temple is more than a cultural foundation. It is the compilation, recognition and factual dignity that should be given the Western Continent, in a monastery that is the current culmination of the highest tradition. Not one from which the Western history came, (because it didn’t) but one which documents and honors it, having arisen from a hundred years of natural development on this side of the Pacific. From the teachings of unknown numbers of monks and practitioners to eventually return to a place of hui, of recalling, of bringing together. A meeting place where one meets more than ones own memories and realizes the largeness and importance that has been bestowed on all of us.  A point of reference from which to draw all things gong fu, as we all forge together what will be later known as the Western continent’s origens and tradition.

龙山寺 Long Shan Si

I’m green I guess. Who wouldn’t be? There are supposed to be plans to build a 360 million dollar “Shao lin temple” in australia, replete with all kinds of hotel and amenities. That would be a impressive place to serve. Huge like disneyland and no shortages or disruptions ever. Frequent new robes. I have not given up on our goal of a one million dollar shao lin sanctuary here in the southwest, but we are not any closer to our goal than the megalith down under is.

We did not want a nut hut, we are wanting a shao lin sanctuary that is for shao lin and all gong fu, more like Fukien temple was at one time. A one million dollar reservation that all could visit and take part in building, rotate on residencies, begin to piece together everything possible about the western diaspora at least on this continent and of course, host events to the benefit of the ones whose event it is. A southwestern park that is geared to the Shao lin more than their fans, where what comes in has a bow, some truly great moves and excellence towards each other in common and the rest? Heaven knows, but we would find out.

An exercise in monks and monastery, not presentation. A reinforcement of tradition and honor for the benefit of each other, surely as important as the things and time shared with the rest of the world. To serve in the documenting, advancement and guidance of gong fu in the west if possible, but exist as a sanctuary first, foremost and as such remain. Not even shops. If you need clothes go to the clothing room, food will be in the dining hall and herbs in the dispensary. Like normal as it should be. No souvenir t-shirts. In buildings of local material similar but not imitative of chinese pagodas but matching the natural environment here.

In the first part of the last century we got shao lin masters and in the last part of the last century, lo here came more. There is no house pledged to receive all in honor as such and it is time for a continent of pai houses and temples to have a hall and a repository. A place where they arrive knowing the customs and fall in as if at home. Where the circle of blessing is exchanged and “strong friendship brings good fortune” as chinese astrology might say.

Going to take a miracle without a hotel and doughnut shop. But who knows? There sometimes are such things even these days and I sometimes wonder if we will not be sipping happy dragon tea whilst doing flying tiger twirls in the 1 million dollar “hotel”, before they get the pro shop up down undet the way it seems to be going for them. A massive thing difficult to do. I do not think a monk-astery will be quite as difficult.

May these words inspire and give joy & peace ~
